Hmm....

I had a dealer flash my original bios into a duel boot bios, and it works just fine.. however, now i see new flash`s are around and i want to be able to update the bios without having to take the xbox back to the dealer every few month`s ( He removes the TSOP & reprograms it ) .. I dont want to reflash the original bios to a completly new version and loose the factory portion, i`m still going to go live down the road.

Price wise, the Aladdin Universal should do what i need..

But whats the advantage in getting a enigmah-X, or matrix, or a Xecuter 2 PRO, or even any mod with 1mb of memory, when the flash`s seem to work in 256k

Thanks for the link ... some great info available ..

After all the reading, i think i`ll just order the the Aladdin Universal, that should do what i need, and is still switchable & upgradable ..

Thanks ;0)

1 mb chips are interesting if you want to run linux on your xbox. usual xbox bioses like evox dun need a 1 mb chip. but with more extended bioses commin ahead (whatever they will be good for ;) a chip which is capable of 1 mb bioses might be interesting.

a usual chip is just fine for most ppl tho.
