CDRWin is not the best software to use anyways......

You need to use Clone CD or Alcohol 120%.........

By the souds of it, you have a cd writer that is VERY old.... CDRWin tends to recognize MORE writers than the two programs I mentioned....

May be time to upgrade your writer.....

Either your burner is old or you need to update your ASPI driver. If your version of cdrwin is below 3.8f you don't have the latest ASPI driver, unless you got it else where. 3.8f and above have the update installed with cdrwin. If you don't have the latest ASPI you can get it here (ftp://ftp.cdarchive.com/pub/goldenhawk/download/aspight.exe). If you are using version 4 or 5 I suggest you switch to a 3.x

If it is any help, version 3.9A is the most compatible with CD-RW drives.
As others have said, there are many other software applications available now that are better for producing backups of your games. For example, CloneCD & Alcohol 120%
Hope this is of some help :)

You NEED to open up your computer and find out EXACTLY what BRAND and MODEL # burner you have......

CDRWin MAY work with your burner BUT.......Like Dust2Dust said...

If the game is protected you will still have to patch them to get them to work.........

If your burner is compatible with Clone CD.... It is a MUCH better option.... But until you find out the brand and model it is really hard to tell.......
