Yes, you need a modchip it worked on my Messiah 2 Pro.
It should work on all no-swap chips
Not sure about the Neo 2.2 or No Solder

I had heard speculation that it might not work with swap chips. UrrBodyH8sMe has a swap chip and was haveing some trouble getting it to work. Not sure if he ever did get it to go.

On the swap chips, I believe you have to boot behind a gameshark for it to work.
