If the PS2 is in stand-by, the reset button has no function. You have to turn the PS2 on with eject (tray opens). While this works fine for PS2 back-ups and originals, I obviously can't watch DVD movies, or play PS1 back-ups.
While the PS2 is on, the reset button has function. Tapping it will reset, holding it will put it in stand-by.
I think I may not have pushed the Reset/Eject cable back all the way in to the MOBO connector. Would this result in the described problem ?
My friend has the PS2 currently, so I can't check it out right now. Just trying to narrow down the possibilities before I get my hands on it.
