Mafia no cd crack - not working

Has anyone come across a problem with the nocd crack for Mafia on gamecopyworld site?

I replace the game.exe file and run the crack exe file but the game crashes on the main menu and wont go back on to the game.

Does the game run with your original copy in the drive without the crack applied.....??

If not then it can't be the crack.... & it 99.9999999% of the time isn't the crack....

If it does run with the original cd & original exe then post back....

otherwise there were numerous threads posted on this very subject...

The game does work with the original cds.

I seen another crack on the website and used that (it was just a new exe file, no crack to run first) and the game ran fine up until a certain mission and wouldnt let me past!

Then I downloaded the crack mentioned in my first message and the game wont run at all! I get to the main menu and the screen goes back to windows, but the Mafia item button is still along the task bar. When I press it, the mafia music comes on but not the game!
