I am informed by the Messiah 2 Team that production has now commenced of Messiah 2 chip v1.30.
The new version of Messiah 2 supports DVD-R on v8 PS2 (v8 is currently defined as GH-022 motherboard with BIOS 090) along with all other functions of the Messiah 2. The number of wires remains at 24. As a bonus, DVD-R game loading is now faster than ever - you will notice the difference.
All being well, I should find time tomorrow (Tuesday) to perform my formal tests on the Messiah 2 v1.30 with the v8 console and report to the forum accordingly.
I understand that there will be further commercial announcements shortly in relation to the Messiah 2 range.
