Trying to back up a DVD based PS2 game using PrimoDVD. I do the GI method but it pops an error when i hit the record button and the DVD drive door wont open if i hit the eject button. I even triied the DISC COPY way and same result. If i switch over to STOMP all works fine but records slow compared to Primo. Any idea why Primo is acting up?
Do you have the latest px engine upgrade?

I never post a question on the PS2 board about this, that was someone else. I looked in my files and i have update 342.
Whoops. What version of RecordNow Max are you using that you say is slow?

stomp4.10
also i upgraded my 104 with the hacked 1.40+ritek firmware so i can burn riteks at 2x but they still burn at 1x eventhough i set it at 2x. The drive shows 1.4firmware.
I suggest you upgrade to Stomp 4.50, as many people's problems are resolved after making the switch. Some people have no luck with with the 1.40 Ritek hacked firmware, plus it screws up your ability to erase dvd-rw, but there is another way to burn your Riteks at 2x and not lose the ability to erase your dvd-rw. Downgrading to 1.31 (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/sccs.ltd/pioneer2x4all/v131_a04.zip) solves both these problems. That's what I use and it works superbly.
