Can't burn 4X with A05 and RecordNowMax

Hi I have Ritek 4x DVD-R's that when I select max or 4X in RecordNow Max 4.5 on my Pioneer A05 1.21 firmware it only burns at 1X. What is the problem here?Thanks

Are you 100% positive that they are 4X Riteks?

The only reason I ask is because there is a NASTY rumor about 1X Riteks being sold as 4X........

I have the EXACT same setup and burn at 4X with NO problems...
