i contacted chipzone.com the place where i bought all my modchips so far and the magic 3.6 universal (you know the one..with the bga board and clip, man i hate that) and there goin to let me exchange it for another chip, should i get the magic 3.1 prewired (just 20 wires or so, no clips or boards) or ask for the apple mini prewired?? they wont give me a money back refund and i deff wanna exchange and try another chip (why not right, i might have some sucess) let me know your opinions on my stupid situation' is it jsut me or are the chances a hell of a lot better for a chip to work without and clips and bga boards

They both have their problems. I am sure you know about the 3.1 problems. Read this (http://www.fileforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45890&highlight=apple+mini) about the apple mini. It is kinda of a lose lose situation, but if you were interested in the 3.6 in the first place then go with the 3.1.

yeah i understand what your sayin. but id rather get a chip that kinda works out of this instead of a 3.6 universal sittin on the shelf and being a total waste of money you know. is the 3.1 any better than the apple or vise versa or are they kinda the same? i actually think id have better luck with the 3.1 than the 3.6

The 3.1 and the 3.6 are the exact same except the 3.6 has a clip. If I hasd to chiose, I would go with the 3.1. Even better, I would try selling the 3.6 to someone here and buy a Messiah 2 instead.

heres what im gonna do. im gonna see if i can get a trade in and get the 3.1 and give that a shot. if i still cant get that working or if i dont like it i'll see if i can sell it to someone and get the messiah like you said, thanks for your input
