my friend sent me an ISO of twisted metal black on-line and i burned it to these really old and crappy CD's(thats all i had) and when i put it in the ps2 the blue disk comes up and i go to boot it and the ps2 logo comes up but then the screen goes blank and does nothing. is this cuz the media is crap?

oh and whats a good brand of CD's?
Why don't you burn the original you are supposed to have instead of using an iso.

Try using Verbatim or any of the "Big Brand" Names.......
Also, you should at least get to the screen where it asks for you network configuration file on your memory card....
Without the files, the game wont load.....

i dont even think u can buy twisted metal black online, its the one that came with the network adapter, but by the time the network adapter came in stock anywhere the send in thing to get the game was expired...

the ps2 logo comes up and it makes the ps2 sound then it just goes blank and the cd drive just spins on high till i take out the disk

I bought a 50pack of Verbatim cd-r's from Best Buy for $25. They were on sale at the time, but the disks are great.
Stay away from Memorex. Yes, they work with most modchips, but they are crap disks. Avoid no-name brands, and cheapie brands.

yea i had a hunch memorex weren't that good when u see everyplace giving them away for FREE with a mail in rebate lol.
