i finally un soldered my magic 3.6 universal and the ps2 works like its brand new, im blaming it all on that clip and bga board its seriously a waste and doesnt work now id rather solder like 30 wires or whatever it is because that will actually work. im not sure if magic chips actually work or not but i know the universal...total waste of money ..wipe your ass with that money if your gettin a universal lol i wonder if i can still save it though hook it up without all that bga board and clip...i dunno im gonna look into things and deff getting a messiah 2

The Magic 3.6 does work.....

There is quite a few people here that have one.....

You may have just got a faulty one...... $h*t happens......

But in my opinion, your final decision about getting the Messiah 2, is an EXCELLENT choice...

Good choice by going with a Messiah 2. But don't blame the Messiah 2 if you install it and it also doesn't work.:)

yeah i know lol im blaming the magic cuz of the clip and board, every other time i installed a chip when its just a matter of soldering wires to a specific pad...always works, this is the first time i tried that clip crap and i didnt really like the whole idea of soldering the bga board to the back like that,,,with no wires just solder. oh well im glad i didnt fry my ps2 in the process. is it possible for me to get a pre wired messiah 2??

I have never heard of anybody selling prewired Messiah 2s. It would be nice though.
