psx boot cd

hi ppl i have a brand new boot cd for my wifes play station 1 and would like to copy it in order to not have to use the origional as this cd gets a hell of a lot of use so far ive tried clone and no look any help would be greatfully appreciated

You can copy it but you need a mod to be able to use it. So basically it is pointless.

hi i dont get that all cd,s can be copied period this cd works fine the ps1 hasnt been touched

Originals have a code pressed into them when they are made that can not be duplicated by any burner. This code is required to be on the boot disc for it to work. By copying it there is no code on the burned copy.

hi thankz for clearing that up matey oh well its just it wasnt cheap had to get it from the net if it were mine id chip it lol but its my wifes and shes funny about that sirt of thing thankz anyway

I know you already bought the boot cd, but they also have a Game Hunter available for $13 USD from www.consolesource.com that I purchased to play my backup CD's. I too like the idea of keeping my originals in a safe place.

You can add cheat codes to the hundreds that are already there on the Game Hunter. I was told by the tech support people from where I bought it from that it has room for 10,000 more codes.
