boot problems

I have a version 7 PS2 and iam using the R-No solder mod. I use swap magic 2 to boot my games. When I boot some of them i get to the input disk screen, hold down the eject button, the disk pops out, I swap with the game, and I hit X and I don't get any blue outlining or green or red, it just freezes, this has happend when I have tried to boot metal gear solid, NBA live 2003. I am using DVD-r back ups, these aren't rip games. Anyone know whats wrong?

actually i heard the swap magic can boot almost all games, except for hitman 2 and evolution pro soccer. But I got the games to boot once, and then i tried them another day an dthey wouldn't boot, so I dunno what was up wiht that I was wondeirng if anyone had the same problem.
