Pal Boot up for Flag to Flag

I have a genuine "Flag to Flag" which I want to play on my UK console - Utopia does not let me get past the games copyright logo. Will it boot up with Gameshark CDXv3.3? Will Action ReplayCDX DCv3.0 work? I have Nero burning - should I only use CDR or will CDRW be O.K. I know these are basic questions for all you experts but I am going nuts trying to get my game going!!!
Please help a desperate greenhorn.:(
