Diffrences between magic 3.0 and 3.1 ??

Does anyone know the diffrences between Magic 3.0 and Magic 3.1 chips?

The only thing i know is that you can't play music-cds with magic 3.0 and that you cant turn it off...

does anyone know any other diffrences?

does anyone know the link to the page that chows the diffrences between almost every chips, that was pasted in this forum for a while ago? iv'e tried to search for it, but i cant find it again... :)

3.1 is supposed to support DVD9 games, while the 3.0 doesn't. But if you read Charlie's review of the 3.1, you'll see that even it doesn't fully support DVD9.

The 3.1 was also supposed to be able to play games such as GTA Vice City, and Kingdom Hearts with out freezing.

Bottom line is neither are that great of chips. I see you already have a Magic 3.0. Are you thinking about switching? If so, spend a little more money and get a Messiah 2. You will be glad you did.

the reason floating around for this is code was tested and worked,when they added bios 010 support it mucked up dvd9 booting,i guess they forgot to fully back test

this is rumour not confirmed

Yes, i'm considering switching... at least if i can get it for free... :)

the reason that i bought magic instead of messiah is that i payed like $100 USD for the magic, with installation... and a messiah would cost me like $200 with installation... and i have looked around quite a bit here in sweden...

i don't have any problem with my magic 3.0... works great... exept for the music-cds part... but i can get around that if i get an on/off button for the magic-card...

and by the way... both my GTA Vice City-original, and the rip by Confusion works just fine... :)

did anyone have that link btw?
