Have a look at Cendyne DVD-R/RW drives. These are repackaged Pioneer drives. They have a 104 and 105 version. Great drives and dirt cheap too.

You can get them at pretty much any retail or online computer store but ebay is the cheapest way to go.

I am personally not a fan of combo drives cause should your drive die or screw up you are basically out 2 burners. Pacific Digital? It's cheap but who knows if it's any good. I would spend an extra $30 and get a Cendyne(aka Pioneer) Cheap and reliable.

This (http://www.pagecomputers.com/cgi-bin/page/M0629206.html) place has them the cheapest I have seen online. You might want to wait a while cause Office Max has rebates offered occasionally. I have heard of people getting one for $150-$160 there after rebates.

How often do we try saving a few pence & end up paying twice as a much cos the gear just isnt up to the job!

You don't buy a DVD burner every week so make sure you get the best you can!
