Hi everyone...i need ur help!!!
just did my 1st backup using recordnow max v4.1 & pioneer a05 of mgs2....
when i put it in ps2 it won't play....i use the ar with a dvd original method...i tried with both mgs2 and gta vc..
i know i had to turn off autoinsert notification to off ( followed an online manual) but i just couldn't do it altough there was an option ( which was ticked) to disable it when autorun shield is on...could this be d prob?
or is it d media i'm using?...it's called monarch....

Hi mate, welcome to the forum :)
It could be a number of things...
1. Could be down to your modchip & booting method, check them out here (http://www.fileforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38232)
2. Could be down to the media you have used. Monarch? Try some better quality such as Traxdata or Ritek (search on this forum for those two for more info)
3. Could possibly be down to the Auto Insert Notification setting, check out how to switch it off here (http://www.fileforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43792)
Give these three a try, any further problems then shout :)
i tried burning gta vc on a pioneer and it loaded up and played the intro then when it was loading got stuck just a cm from the line....
i'm sure pioneer is a good media...what i'm doing wrong?...
i set d speed to min record speed but i think it was much moer than min cause it was ready in under 45 mins.....
and y is it that everytime i press on rec the tray of my cd drive opens up??
i'm desperately in need of help!!
i tried everything to disable that option (autoinsert notification) but i can't.....with my recordnow max v3 i used to double click on it and then switch it off and reboot but with this version i can't...
i switched to this version cause d other 1 didn't recognise my pioneer a05

Have you tried this (http://www.psx-paul.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/autoinsertnotification.htm)?
Have you downloaded and installed the latest PX Engine Update (ftp://eval.veritas.com/downloads/pro/exe/PxEngineUpdate342.exe)?
Pioneer is a brand that I have personally never used. I know that the PS2 can be picky depending on what version it is/condition of the laser and what media it likes. My v5 loves Traxdata DVD-R and Datasafe Classic 1x DVD-R (Yellow Top).
If it is loading the game up and then getting stuck at a point it sounds like your machine does not like that media. As I said before, try some better quality media.
