View Full Version : Best CD-Writer 4 Game Copying?
Hello!
My old cd-writer just said goodbye, so I want to get a new cd-writer that should be able to handle most of the current game copy protections. I read through a few magazines & there are 2 drives that I got my eyes on right now:
1.) Yamaha CRW-F1
2.) Teac CD-W548EK
What do you think about these drives? Anyone can share his experience? If you know any other better drives, every help is very appriciated!

Have a look here (http://www.elby.ch/english/products/clone_cd/writers/a.html)
You will want a drive that is capable of RAW-DAO 96, and capable of perfect EFM coding or regular bits (two sheep).
I recommend a Lite-on or LG - both are very cheap and capable of copying most copy protections.
Thanx 4 the advice gh0sth@cker!
I think I'll go with the LiteOn LTR-52246S. Read this one is a very fast & reliable cd-writer. Though in terms of prices, the LG models are somewhat cheaper.
Thanx again :p

Teac and Yamaha are the best with Plextor. Yamaha hav many good technologies in it. Teac is a good thing too.
I hav an yamaha 20x-10x-40x, one year old. But with the technologie of yamaha u can make perfect copy of new games on market with new cd protections (antycopyng), by using clone cd or nero (mode ISO) for exemple.
But every time when u want to play with your perfect copy u do to put it in your burner to start the game ( exemple).
Yamaha hav a technology to burn more intensivly the CD. Better quality of burning. He hav like the other brands a buffer underun protection . And for Music it hav special thing to make more quality
Yamaha is that what i recommended at my friends if they want to make bakup of their new games cd. Yamaha, Yamaha....
Thanx for the info MicTerroR!
I was thinking about buying the Yamaha CRW-F1, but I ended up buying the teac cd-w552e.
Thanx anyway,
