i have a ver.7 ps2 w/magic3(i think it works well) i am unable to get a working rip of gta3! when i try to play it it starts to work but when the "playstastion2" part comes up(at the very begining of loading) it sort of splashes away and DOES NOT LOAD!

I ahve a magic 3.5 installed in my v7. Should be the same as your magic 3. GTA3 was the first game I copied. I am using memorex DVD+R media and had some trouble at 2x speed so dropped it to 1x and everuthing works fine. All I can suggest is try a sloer speed burn. If that doesn't work get better media.

A better chip like the messiah 2 or a direct burn would solve your problem. The problem is probably with your piece of crap magic 3.
