gta3

[Orbis Factor]

anyone have any idea why gta3 wont install on win xp, but will on win 98se. plus when the cd is in on the xp machine, the cd seams to be blank, as nothing appears on it when using my computer or windows explorer, also xp says theres no cd in the drive when i click on it.

help is gratefully appreciated

Probably the cd is dameged, or can be a compatibility problem, try to run Windows update and get the latest update for windows.

Orbis : is this the original cd or a copy that shows up blank? Do other cd's (originals and copies) do the same ? How many cd drives/dvdroms/cdwriters do you have ?

it's my backup copy, and it's the only original or copy that does it. i have 1 cd drives and 1 cd writer.

if it helps i made the copy under win98se, because i didn't have xp yet. and i'm not gonna go back because it's to much hassle just for one game.

you didnt use blindwrite for the copy, did you?
