I want to know how to create a bootdisc for either the PS1 or the PS2. I don't want to buy one for about $15 not knowing if it will work.

You can create boot discs, but they will not start on your PlayStation without a modchip or using the swap trick.

Not unless your Playstation is modded beforehand.
