Hi,

Maybe I can clarify so things don't get out of hand.

I am a developer and own a paid legitimate MSDN subscription. When I download from the Microsoft MSDN site it is a .IMG file. The instructions tell me that it is a "bit-for-bit ISO-9660 CD image intended to be written (“burned”) to CD-R media."

I own clonecd (which I also paid for) and was wondering if it can do this because it seems clonecd uses a .CCD file format. If someone knows how to do it with clonecd I would appreciate it. Or if someone can recommend another CD buring application that can burn a CD image with a .IMG extension then that would be great too.

I am purely posting here for some technical guidance, not to do any illegal activities whatsoever.

Thanks,

Jeff

They don't seem to like you - do they?

On the basis that you are trying to burn a validly obtained image:

.IMG is the ClioneCD format. I forget whether or not you need the .CCD descriptor file to burn a .IMG file. You'll have to look that up in the CloneCD instructions.

You can rename the file *.BIN and burn it with CDRWin. That usually needs a *.CUE file and the CDRWin manual provides the layout info necessary for you to construct same.

burn it in nero as foreign image with raw data selected.
