Are the games you are trying to copy and boot CD Based? If so, use CloneCD providing your burner can support it (you can check this at www.elby.de ) to read and burn the image. What chip are you running, what burner are you using, what media are you using and what game are you trying to burn might also be useful things to know. If you don't have CloneCD or your burner does not support it then use something like Nero or CDRWin in MODE 2 CD-ROM/XA. If they are not CD based games then it may be the installation of the modchip. Report back and let us know. Thanks, hope this helps...

Your PS2 needs a modchip to play Backup / Copied games. The games which Sony test are prepared exactly the same way as the ones you buy from the shop. This is why they are not booting. There is no such thing as a boot disc or a program which will copy the protection as Sony press it onto the disc - No burner can read this data so no matter what media you use or what program you use the results will be the same! You need a modchip. Contact _______ and I'm sure they can sort you out. Hope this helps...

You need to grab a little program that modifies the boot info of the game. the debug station will play ANY games new or backup without a modchip, trust me I know I work on one every day and have done for the past 4 years.

Although new games have modchip protection the debug station2 does not have a modchip as it is coded into the motherboard in factory

Try a search for master disc patcher, you need to make a bin/cue file of your game and then patch with the software and burn back on to disc and it will play, I’ve been using this method for ages on games that got to a black screen just before the station2 logo and stop with the disc spinning and they all now work

Dunno why but they just do

I am aware of some PS1 titles that are anti-mod......

BUT, I have NEVER seen a PS2 title that was anti-mod......

So which games for the PS2 have mod chip protection?

I know 2 of our games that feature and try to cause problems with modchips, but i like my job and i'm not saying.

I know of 2 other companys that have very very early anti-modchip stuff in them but they are very weak, it is not in my opinion gonna make one bit of diffrence but hey ho
