Well just to add a lil extra spice.
I started with Nero 5.5.10, tried Recordnow max 4.5, but have settled with Prassi Primo DVD2.0.
I havn't found faults/problems with nero or recordnow max, I just prefer the user interface with Primo. Please let me know if anybody finds one to be any more reliable than the others.
dude
i have and do use all of these but i find recordnowmax more to my liking. and same as you i have not found any problems with any of them i just prefere recordnowmax

I've backed this game up first time without any problems.
Are you copying On-The-Fly, i.e. Dvd reader 2 Dvd writer? Most people use this kind of method, but it's not the safest sometimes especially if your using Dvd-r's (Expensive Coaster). When i make a backup i create a image first to my Hd then burn it back. I know this takes longer but you get very good results.

Agree with Hans....create the image to the hard drive. I use nero a lot. If I find a game that Nero fails on (for some reason), I use Prassi Primo DVD. They are both great programs, I've never used record now max. Good luck!!!!

Writing from image file maybe safer but is still not coaster proof! That's why I copy on the fly.

Well.........THANX EVERYBOBY !!! now I have to chosse between 4, not 2 softwares....
OK...Im going to use...........NERO 5.5.10.0 & RECORDNOWMAX 1.5 ...LOL....
Today Im going to buy some DVD-RW Media....and try them both
ONE MORE Q???....
Is it ok to RE-write one -RW Media many times..does it play pn my PS2 as well as -R
Im going for TRAXDATA Media
RW works but don't expect to work wonders from it..
Best is use R's NOT RW's for PS2 DVD backups..
TDK,Verbatim or Fuji's does wonder's..Try them!!
But once again it varies on the laser so exp and stick with what works best for your laser.

As you said A03 - what works best for your laser. I have overcome the freezing on vice city by writing it to dvd-rw.
