View Full Version : newbie need help backing up dvd game
hi, I need some help with backing up DVD games. I'm not sure what to get first of all. do i have to get the pioneer one or there are alternatives? are there any external drives out there? because i don't have a desktop. and what kind dvd media is good. Also, do I need any patches for dvd games like Cd games? I didnt' find much of these basic stuff from old messages. please help me out a little. thanks a million.
The Pioneer A05 and the Sony DRU-500a are the top of the class right now....
You do not need to patch dvd based games as far as protections, you would however need to patch if you were trying to play a PAL game on a NTSC system....You would need a PAL-NTSC patch....Or vice versa....
Yes.... There is external writers available.....
Media is really up in the air...
Traxdata, Ritek, Verbatim, Apple, etc..... Whatever works best with YOUR PS2 is the ones you should use....
Is pioneer A05 and the Pioneer 105 the same? and the external one should work the same as the internal ones right? thanks
Yes... They are the same drives.... One just comes in a retail box with cables, manual, etc (A05)... and the other just comes with the bare drive.....
