They are both fine but +r isn't compatible with nearly as many devices as -r is.

Ok, so you would say the best is a -r then.

I think im going to get the Pioneer 105. Is that any good?

Yes -r is the better choice. The A05/105 is a very good one to go with. I have an A04/104 and love it.
