since modchips are no longer illegal in australia i was planning to get my ps2 chiped and then buying a dvd burner. i first want to learn how to burn before doing anything.

i was planning to get a pioneer dvd burner and using pioneer dvd-r's @ 1x. would this ensure best results?

i want to get a messiah modchip in my ps2. my ps2 is says 30002R on the bottom, will this be compatible with messiah?

i think i know how to burn the ps2 games but what if the game is larger than 4gigs? how do solve this litlle problem? can i split the image or something? would it cause problems with the burn?

any help would be very appreciated:)

Except for the Messiah 2... :D

Just kidding..... Both, the Magic 3.1 and Messiah 2 are GREAT chips....

Both, the Magic 3.1 & Messiah 2 will work in your PS2....

As far as dvd burners are concerned, Get either the Pioneer A05 or the Sony DRU-500a.... Both are excellent burners.....

As far as media is concerned..... You will just have to try a few different brands until you find what YOUR PS2 likes.... Traxdata, Riteks, and of course all the big brand names such as Verbatim are good....

If the dvd games is over the 4.37 gb limit such as Xenosaga, you CANNOT backup these games YET.....Hopefully it won't be too much longer until these games are cracked.....Although not to worry, there is only about 2 or 3 games that are over the limit....
