Just a quick one. I currently have a version 5 with an HBC mod chip which is straight messiah clone.

It works great but was looking at installing a messiah 2 to keep up with the times.

What exactly is the differences between messiah 1 and 2 apart from messiah 1 needing a reset or two to boot particular stuff and messiah 2 not needing the resets.

The reason I ask is that I saw a mention of an HBC 2 mod chip and assumed that it would be a messiah 2 clone but that said that HBC 2 would do region free on dvd video. Is messiah 2 dvd region free capable??

Thanx in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The HBC mod is a genuine Messiah 1.

Messiah 2 is'n't worth the upgrade in my view. There's no difference worth bothering with. You can see what Messiah 2 does at www.messiah2.com.

The HBC 2 mod - give me the URL please. I hope it's not that Messiah 2 fake from Hong Kong. That will give you grief, I believ, being a Magic 3 Fake as well.

Thanx for the advice. Yeah, I'm quite happy with HBC 1 really. Does the job no probs. Was just interested in messiah 2 if it had the dvd video region free function on it. Have not heard anything else about HBC 2 recently so might have been a pile of BS.

Ta Matey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
