I am using a pioneer A05 and trying to copy DVD movies.
It backs them up just fine but when I go to play them on my PC or PS2 they start to work and the sound skips and the screen either freezes or is messed up. I am using DVD-RW media to make sure I don't make coasters. Do I have to use DVD-R or is there something else I am doing wrong.
I am using DVDXcopy version 1.2.2 with Nero.
Thanks for any help

I am using Memorex DVD-RW. What Media should I use.
Does it make a difference for DVD-R games for PS2.
Why does the media matter if DVDXcopy does not mention media.

I am trying to copy NTSC movies. I have tried several and they seem to copy fine but play horrible. I try them in my PC Pioneer A05 and my PS2. I have tried several different DVD-R's.
I have not seen anywhere where DVDXCOPY says anything about what kind of media to use especially when you play them on your PC.
Please help...
I suggest you download the 1.3 upgrade from dvdxcopy.com (www.dvdxcopy.com). This fixed many issues with dvdxcopy. I burned my first movie to dvd-rw without a problem. If you still have this error after upgrading try a different brand of media like Verbatim.

I just downloaded 1.3 and everything seemed to work fine when I burned to a DVD-RW. I burned just disk one because the main title would fit (ICE AGE). After it was done I tried to play it on my PC. I tried Power DVD and it didn't recognize the file and would not play at all. I also tried it in my home DVD player and it kicked it back out. What am I doing wrong.
Thanks for any help

Have you tried uprating the firmware on your Pioneer,http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/support_software.jsp?category=support/software if that doesn't work you need to get better media... i use Infiniti DVD-R costs about 80p.
Kayliebug!
Try to upgrade to Ver 1.3.1. On previous versions, the copy would play fine on my PC DVD-Rom, but not on my Apex AD-1500. However, after updating to version 1.3.1 and under Advance Options, you need to set the following as indicated below:
Under Player Compability: select Standard(ISO/UDF).
Under DVD Burn Engine: select Default Burn.
After setting these options, the copy would player fine on both DVD-Rom and Apec AD-1500. Hope this help
