ntsc originals and magic 3???

this is quote from a customer of mine:
"I bought a PS2 with the magic3 a few weeks back. I tried
it with 4 NTSC games and they were fine. It booted PAL PS1 originals and PAL PS1 backups that I made myself properly but only booted NTSC originals with large black bars at the bottom of the screen - maybe a RGB lead would solve it - I do not know. "

Does anybody have an answer to this????
Also can anyone point me to ehere i can ger diagrams for messiah 2 for an ntsc machine???

The diagrams are all the same - PAL/NTSC. Messiah 2 diagrams on www.messiah2.com.


The SCART lead won't solve the problem in my opinion. The TV doesn't like 60Hz that comes with NTSC,

thanks for reply Charlie but what i can't understand is how it plays ntsc backups ok or is that down to the chip??
