What DVD Media Type and Size do I need to copy PS2 DVD games? Most PS2 DVD games are over the 4.7 gig limit of blank DVD-R's.

HUH....

There are only 2-3 games that are over the 4.7gb limit.....(Xenosaga is 1 of them)

99% of dvd based games are under the limit....

I use Verbatim and Princo. Never had a problem out of either one of them. One is just as good as the other to me. I am also looking into getting some of the Ritek's.

I just bought some Ritek from Rima.com. Pretty cheap, about a dollar a dvd, I'll let you know how they are, but BG likes them.

HOPE you get the good ones.... Ritek makes TONS of different dvd-r's...... The ones you want have a VERY DEEP PURPLE bottom... If they are the light purple ones, they are junk..... Its hard to tell on that website.... Not enough info or a better picture..
Good luck and let us know how you make out...

I called Rima soon as I saw your post BG. I asked them if they were dark purple. She said yes, plum color. She said they only sell the plum color Ritek's in DVD-R, not light purple in DVD-R. I'll let you guys know when I get them.

BG, are the Riteks a deeper purple than the Verbatims? I noticed that the Princos are just a slight shade lighter than the Verbatims.

I was on the rima.com website and I noticed that Princos were cheaper than the Riteks. Are all of the Riteks the same on this site. It looks like they are, but give volume discounts. I also thought Princos were better, but didn't know if they make a bunch of different ones as well. I'm in Canada and couldn't find Princos anywhere. I PICK UP MY NEW BURNER TOMORROW!!!!

Yes.... Riteks are a deeper purple than verbatims....
Princos are no where near the DARK PURPLE that Riteks are... Wait till you get them... You will see what I mean....

I used to use Princos...... I personally like them also.... (Although they do make a bunch of different ones, and some of them are S#!T...)

BUT, the Riteks....... They work ALOT better and are cheaper...(At least where I get them, they are)......

Thanks, BG!! Do you get them from Rima too? Sorry to bug you, but I'm totally new at this and DVD-Rs here in Canada are sickly expensive in my area. I always ask you more experienced guys for info before I jump into anything new with this stuff.

Thanks again!
