PS 2 don´t play my PSx backup!

I have a problem with my Playstation2
Ihave a Neo 2.2 chip i think.
When I boot a psx copy (Tekken 3 for example or any other copy),
it just hangs when the Playstation logo comes.

Please help me

what media are you using & what boot method are you using?

Media:
1)Silver Circle, short Dye, silver
2)Lifetec, silver, long dye (I have tried with 650 & 700 mb)
And some other

I think i should trie with Traxdata or TDK that were my next step

Boot Method:

I turn on my Ps2 insert the game and hold reset for the standbye mode for 5 seconds.
Than I just press a half second on reset so that the Playstation starts. All goes well till the Playstation logo. There it hangs.

Try using better media.

Ok i should try this the next days.

And if that wont work, maybe than my modchip doesn´t work.
How can I found out if the modchip works.
Because nothing would boot.
