Making a patch without PAL/NTSC selector

I have just downloaded a patch for Need For Speed Porche2000.

The patch and the game works fine now, but every time i starts the game, a red screen, with a PAL/NTSC selector shows.

The game is already in pal and I live in europe, so I dont need to change from PAL to NTSC or vice versa.

My quistion is: Is it possible to remove the selector from the patch, so the game just starts without the red screen, or is it possible to make your own patch, without the selector :confused:

What patch was it? Why do you need it?

I take it that you can start the game using the selector.

As you have the PAL version and you live in Europe, what patch are you trying to use?

You could simply use CloneCD to make a 1:1 backup of the game.

I used it because the race keept restarting every time I tried it, after approx 10 sec.

I have tried just burning it with both clone and cdrwin, but it didnt help :(

The game does work with the selector

Should I have used another patch :confused:

Thats the right patch.

I just checked it and the patch itself contains the protection fix and PAL/NTSC Selector (check the <FILE_ID.txt> file that is included in the zip file.

Unless you can find a protection fix only stick with it, if the selector works alright it means you need to press X once during the game load :)
