Messiah v4 or Magic v3.5?

I have an older PS2, SCPH-30001, Serial number begins with U4.
I have a Neo 2.2 MOD Chip installed but I'm getting sick and tired of do the GS2 swap for my backups. Which newer MOD will work on my older console? The Messiah v4 or Magic v3.5?

The Messiah 2 or the Magic 3 chips will both work in you PS2....
Although, since you have had the neo chip installed, you may want to consider purchasing a new PS2, since the neo chips damage the laser....

one thought about the magic 3.5 is that total disassembly of the ps2 is needed as one L shaped board goes on the back of the motherboard and two more on the top, so mommy has to be removed from the case, a real pain in my opinion. Plus on the L shape board, you have to line up wafers on the board to specific pins and then solder them in place, another pain. I have never seen messiah so no comment on it. Just something to think about.

Totally right guys. Seriously consider selling it and buying a pre modded version seven and save yourself the headache of getting a version1 to reliably read dvdr's after having a neo laser murderer chip fitted.

If you don't want to get a new ps2 you could always get a new laser head unit when you buy your mod chip and fit'em both at same time.
