Confused between magic3.1 and messiah2

Gamer Experts,

I am modchip installer, I've done 5 magic3 installation and 4 of them were amazing, but I have bad experience with the last one, I asked people here (Australia), and those people give me the same information that messiah2 is not good enough...let me tell you the brief story...
(I thought when i got this problem, it could be overcome by using messiah2, but it's not, and here is the story)

I called my magic3 supplier(installer also) regarding this issue and they told me it is because the PS2 version 7 that I am using, is using version 5 DVD rom (sometime sony does this, they said), because they also had the same experience before, even though they put blue chip, magic3, messiah2 they were not able to make the console booting for all games.. This is their conclusion, what do U think guys??

I called just now (installer and supplier), they give me the new thing called magic3.1, they said that messiah2 can not boot DVD 9 definitely (because they've done many installations), only magic3.1 that can boot DVD 9 and all games without any problem. do you think is true??

experts, I am very confused now, and australia so I think european people can help me regarding this issue...so frustrating too...

I just ordered a Messiah 2 Chip for my V5 instead of the Magic 3.

If you were a re-seller of the Magic 3 chip, which chip would YOU tell people was better...
I don't think they would put down there own chips....
Just like the Messiah 2 team, if you asked them which is better, they would tell you the Messiah 2....

I personally prefer the Messiah line of chips....They are more expensive, but I think "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR".....

This is just my opinion on the matter.... There are alot of people that are happy with their Magic chips and their are alot of people that are happy with the Messiah chips.....

It all comes down to preference....

I have a Messiah 2 and can play dvd9 everytime I put it in. I know a friend who has been installing Magic 3's and has had nothing but problems because of the Vice City and Kingdom Hearts problem. I can play those game without a second thought in my system.



Messiah 2 is the best.

Don't use that installer. He's clearly a liar.

I'll be testing a Magic 3.1 very shortly against Messiah 2. The Magic 3.1 is reported to be a vast improvement on the Magic 3.

The bottom line technical difference bwetween the Magic line and the Messiah line is boot strategy. The Magic line assumes after 3 cycles that the game is ready to boot (which may not be the case if it has difficulty reading because of poor media or dirty lens). messiah 2 properly reads the PS2 status and doesn't kick back in until an appropriate PS2 event has occurred.

Your installer won't have a clue about these things and is only interested in selling you what he has (understandably). But lying about DVD9 is very bad. Magic 3 NEVER booted DVD9 (3.1 may well do so now - I;ll let you all know).
