the sims upgrading

has anyone had a problem when installing a bacup of the sims original it plays ok.


but when u try to install the sims unleashed expansion it gives a stupid error cant find version from the registry. ??


anyone had this problem ,
or can someone tell me why i cant install a expansion ?

Did you use any crack for the original ? The expansion packs are in fact huge patches, so your installed version must be exactly what they expect or the install program goes sulk in a corner :D Also, I don't know if Unleashed works with only the original sims installed, there are four other expansion packs, and at least one of these (hot date) needs another one (house party) installed to work.

Hey, by the way, is there anyeway to install patc #1 for sims unleashed, the official patch doesnt seem to work for me. I installed all the sims but vacation, and I didnt used any of the original CDs for the install, all cd copies.
