Ok, where to from here????

I have a Pal ps2 v4 with neo4 chip and can't get a dvdr backup to work. I'm using recordnow max with a Sony dru500-a burner & tried both dvd-r & +r & even dvd-rw & +rw & can't get it to work. I'm using GT3 as my original & trying to play the backup of the same game & it doesn't work. I also have gta-vc as an orginal & have used it to play my backup of gt3 without success. I use the bootup method & once my backup is in I can here it pulse spin but I get a blank screen.(does it load quickly once backup is in??) I have tried a dvd-r copy of a movie & it works fine!!!!!

Can anyone help!!!!

You booting like below?
.Turn on the PS2 with no disc
.Press X to go into the browser screen
.Press eject and put in your original DVD game (Big TOC)
.Press eject again and hold till gold disc comes on screen
.Let go and tray will eject slowly- swap with your DVDR backup
.Press X and play - its that simple

Note the best boot disc to use at the time of this post is GTA3 or Devil May Cry 4.37GB

Thanks for your reply.

I have been following these boot up techniques to the letter & still have had no luck. I still have a blank screen. I am using gta-vc as my original & still no luck.
