Well, after using the Swap Disc, I put in the backup for Devil May Cry. It starts to load, reads Capcom, then goes to the next screen which says something about warning:much violence and gore. And then it gets stuck on that screen and won't do anything.

I know most have a problem with this game, but figured I would give it a shot.

Dude, it's most likely because the swap disk (magic 2.0?) has a toc smaller than devil may cry.
I'm sorry i don't have dmc otherwise i'd try it on my ver7 no solder.

Unfortunatly you can't use action replay 2 on version 7 machines for the swap trick as my previous posts explain the v7 has some fancy ass protection system.

Best thing to do is take the mod out and get a messiah 2 installed.

Sorry i couldn't be of any more use

Jay,
Thanks for the reply. That's what I have heard the problem is, but I figured I would go ahead and give it a shot anyway. Eventually I will probably get a Messiah 2, or a Magic 3.1, but I just wanted to test it for fun! haha.

No problem, Thats the only reason my version 7 is a no solder with swap disks at the moment. Had a spare no solder plus swapdisks so couldn't wait to play vice city

Now i'm too lazy to take it apart and mod it again :p

Give me time!

In the meanwhile if you check my previous post there is a list of games that do/don't run with the set up you have.

I know for a fact that a DMC backup will load with GS2,AR2 and no-solder mod using DMC demo for the original.
Everyone tries to save money buying the swap magic disc only to find out that about half the games wont boot. Its alot simpler to go ahead and buy a no swap chip and not worry about this crap. Cost about the same also.
