dvd skipping

im backing up my dvd's on datasafe gold mediausing smartripper/nero and also tried this with primo global image.film plays ok till towards the end of the film then every few seconds it pauses skips tried these discs in three diff dvd players all had the same results could it be a media prob......using pioneer 104 also seems to happen with some ps2 games(pauses,doesn't load)....help :mad:

for the movies it sounds like a media issue, try some better quality DVD-R

for the PS2 it definately is the media, get yourself some Traxdata DVD-R if you are in the UK.
