Expansion of THE SIMS

Hi!! I`ve got installed a copy of The Sims and it runs well. But when I try to install a expansion pack (House party o First Date) it says : "Error getting version from registry"

Someone can Help me please?

Is the Sims you used an original version (not a warez copy). If it's an original, then try reinstalling.
