Help DVD-RW or +RW [Archive]

Hi Guys I'm looking for some help on which DVD burner to buy, considering I'm looking into creating my own PS2 backups, also which is the best mod chips, software, media ect the SCPH code is 35003 with eight screws in the bottom, does this make it a V4 or am I completely barking???

Any Help would be appreciated
