I soldered it in my V7 PS2 and turned on the ps2. Everything seemed just fine with the first few games(originals). I then went to Star Wars: Clone Wars, In the first level the rock pillers were floating way up in the air and the landscape was like invisible. It was as if I was riding way up in the air. I tried several other games and everything seems fine. I took out the mod chip and removed all the wires. Now the game (Star Wars) works just fine. Is it the chip or the solder job. I hated to remove 3 hours worth of work but I was unasure of the performance. Anyway, and help on this would be greatly appriciated. I do not have a DVD burner yet so I never got a chance to try a back up game. Thanks for your time.

Hey, to be honest i can't say which it is without seeing but when soldering, look for a shiney solder finish, generally a dull finish on your solder means a "cold solder joint" and does not conduct as well as a shiney one does (believe it or not). Also presolding the tips of the wires is helpfull too for conductivity. I'd check each joint and look for a clean nice joint (no pun intended) and any of them that didn't look great, i'd resolder. If they look good and you still have the prob, that only leaves the chip or backup. Sorry i can't be more help but hopefully this is a start for ya.
