Could anyone tell me if any modchips available for the PS2 will display PS2 NTSC games as PAL? I have TV that has no problems with displaying the colours - so one of those 50 quid analog adapters would be of no use to me - but it can't handle the actual digital signal so the picture is squished. Are there any modchips that will output an PAL50 signal - as my TV can't handle PAL60 or NTSC - from an NTSC PS2 game?

Your best bet is to get NTSC2PAL patches for your games. As far as i know modchips don't allow a NTSC game to output a PAL signal or vice versa. They just send the correct boot code through which tricks the machine into thinking a original game is to be played. Basically buy a new TV that handles a NTSC signal if you have the Cash. Pretty cheap nowadays, as this is the best option in my opinion as there aren't many solutions around to solve this problem. :)

Ta for the info - I don't have the money for a new TV now, nor a DVD burner. I'll have to live with a squished picture for now.
