creating image file with CloneCD

Hi all,
I've just switched from Nero to CloneCD & cant seem to find out how to backup a normal directory from my hard drive. I assume it needs to be converted to an image file first as CloneCD only seems to have settings for CDs & images.
Am i missing something here?

as u can understand from the title it is clone cd not make a cd....clone means make a clone which means copy not create...
