Just fitted magic3 into a V7! I Got the red screen display so opened up to check over my install, nothing obvious so tweaked a bit then reassembled the machine. Still I got the red screen.

Once again I opened up & swapped the chip (leaving the wires in situ)! Still I got the red screen. Sooooooo (getting angry by now) I removed every wire after first checkin continuity in the hope of finding a fault. I installed another chip (just in case) Just as I was about finished I thought "mmmmmm I wonder" & then proceeded to check the pots!!!!

Always check the pots when ur doin a V7!!!! I wunt mind but i had this prob only 2 weeks ago

I hearby declare myself as NUGGET OF THE YEAR for 2002. I apologise to everybody I accused of selling me dud gear (even RS tools lol)

Just 4 the record I HATE SONY!!!!!

Hi, I am having trouble with the Magic 3. It is locking up a V3, V5 and V7 machines I have installed it in. You will be playing the games and bang! it stops. Can you help? Oh sorry for sounding stupid what are the 'pots'?????

I was told this was the best chip but from reading these problems it really doesn't look like it is.

Magic3 clones are now been made by every man Jack! Be sure you only buy from a decent supplier and avaoid all the cráp that is floating around. Too many people praise the magic3 for them all to be bad!
