View Full Version : bin files over 700meg?

hi there ive only got a cd burner
but some bin files are bigger than 700 meg some are 800meg etc
but they are dvd rips are they for dvd only?

When your burn an image fil to a cd. you can overburn it. Making it possible to burn over 800MB to a 700 MB disc.

bin files are not the real disk and are larger than the original because of the indexing information contained for re-constituing the CD.

How big is the actual file then?

well what i would do is get ur original disc find a better rip program that will down size it to around 700mb

Course you would need some knowledge (ok alot) about ripping. Mind providing that link so he can do it on his own, since youre full of helpful replys? :o

ED! the reason i replied as i did is because if he didn't do it him self in the first place (which he would know how to do the rip in the first place) then it is probably a downloaded file which if you read the forum rules you would know it is not aloud
