I have bougth a couble of different media. I´m wondering which are the best for ps2 use. The medias are:
Princo dvd-r
DiscPower dvd-r
Verbatim dvd+r

Can I use verbatim dvd+r or can the ps2 only play dvd-r dics?



My burner is Sony DRU500A
My ps2 have the Messiah modchip

stick with -r
however since you've got a disc and a capable burner u may as well give +r a shot

try on rw first if u don't want to waste a disc

+r probably won't work because of having a v4. +r usually only works on v5-v7.

will dvd+r/w work on ALL V5's??

if sumone can confirm this, then ill definently go for the Sony dru500a rather than the Pioneer A05 which is what i was origionally going to do :D

Yes it should. The v4 was the last of the bad lasers.

does burning to DVD+R have any advantages to DVD-R??
easier to read? cheaper? or what ever?

Not really for PS2 but it is all Xbox reads.
