So I reinstalled the game completely and applied the patches up to 1.41. Then I put on the No-CD crack, and finally, unzipped the patch crack into the Disciples directory and executed that. It said:
Patching disicpls2.exe...... Wrong filesize!

I've spent a good couple of hours now trying to get this damn game to work! Would someone with greater knowledge bestow upon me? :)

It seems you don't have the correct crack for V1.41.......

Hi again Dope Jetson :p

looks like you are doing something wrong again...

I use the german Version of this brilliant game:
My NOCD is not a executable Patch !!
It is the disciples2.exe itself (already cracked !!)
And i only had to overwrite the existing one in my folder !!

So , if you should use the german Version, too. You used the wrong Crack !!
Or if you use the English Version, you should try another one.
There are 3 (!!) in GCW and a lot more on other Pages.

Try another one.

My working crack is from Megagames.com
Its from the cracker: gimpsRus !!!

This one should do it (maybe with the english version, too).
go ahead and give it a try....

feeling with you all the time ;)

I'll try out the megagames.com one.

Thanks again, Juergen, and everyone else for putting up with my crap. :D

It didn't work! Can you believe it?

I got the GimpsRUs one from Megagames.com, and it -still- didn't work. Right now, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong...

My system is pretty standard, with all the drivers relatively up to date. I guess I will just try another one, but I'm not holding my breath.

Stupid thing-that-is-holding-me-back!

I just went thru this in the last few days, having installed the game again. I also was getting an error, but it was misleading. The problem was my .exe file was marked read only for some odd reason. I notice this alot in XP. You running xp?

You can try going to the discipl2.exe file (or whatever it's called) and right click, and make sure it's not read only. I know this may sound dumb to some, but I just went thru exactly what he did, and for some reason, my file was readonly, and the error I got from the crack program was at first giving me the impression it was the wrong .exe by what it said. But as I looked more closely it said something about not being able to access the file and that's how I figured it out.

Also, I could email you the progam I used to crack it. I am pretty sure it was grimpus's or whatever. I still have it.
