1. Where can I find a no-cd crack for ver 1.2?
2. What does fixed exe mean?

OK Ive extracted the fixed exe and .org files to my BF1942 game dir and the game stops responding when I try and load the game with a backup copy in my CD-ROM drive.

You sure you extracted the files to the right directory?? Might wanna look at THIS (http://www.fileforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41424&highlight=battlefield) thread

BTW You havent got any Mods installed have you?? That is known to cause problems with the new patch.

I'm absolutely positive that I put it in the right dir.
I'm going to download the no-cd crack in the thread you showed me. Hmmm, hope that works.

Hey,
I just downloaded the no-cd crack and it's a single file, BF1942.pid. What is .pid?

Mr. General, the crack works, I just tested it myself. As for the .pid file, it's not part of the crack, it's generated by the program itself. Must be an abbreviation of Process ID or something (see Unix).
