How do I get Tekken 4 NTSC to work on a PAL PS 2?

I got: Playstation 2 with Neo 2.2 + DVD Region X, Tekken 4 US-Rip .bin + .cue

I've already burnt it several times (Nero, CDRwin), but trying to boot the game with DVD Region X it won't work.

Do I need a NTSC to PAL patch? If so, where can I get one?

I had this problem when I had a neo 2.2. Couldn't figure out why the damn thing wouldn't work. I tried it the EA way, and it booted happily.

:)

Hope this helps.

If for any reason you have never booted the EA way:

Power on ps2 with your ar2 or whatever (still holding in the reset button all the time). Go to the start >> start game without codes, and then (and of course you have to do this very fast and very carefully!!), let go of the reset button, the tray ejects, and you have (I think, if I remember correctly) 5 seconds to swap the boot disc for the disc you wish to play, before the tray brutally retracts. Once the tray retracts, push the x- button.

You are probably well aware of this method 3sc0b4r, but this is to help anyone else that may be having problems like this.

If anyone has a better description of the above act, please feel free to correct mine.

hmm, thx but I had already tried the EA boot way and it didn't work either.

Maybe I burnt it the wrong way?

Do I need a NTSC to PAL patch although my PS 2's Neo 2.2 and TV support NTSC?

could you please tell me which settings and speed to use exactly?

did you play the Tekken 4 NTSC backup on a PAL Playstation 2?

Yup, sure did. I have a messiah chip now, but I had a neo 2.2 with AR2. Might be worth copying the disc to your drive, and writing at x 4 speed.

Will post settings later at home.

Sorry didn't post last night! Got busy, and had to deal with some things.

Glad you got it working though!
